My dearest all,
You've heard this before: I'm taking a break from blogging.
You haven't heard this before, though: This time, I don't know for how long. Not years, of course. But I can't pin a specific period either. Also, things will change a little when I return.
I used to be extremely averse to changes. When I was young, the family wanted to get a new sofa set and I was bizarrely against it. Could we please not change it? This old thing? You can still sit on it, no problem. Even though the cushions were disintegrating into crumbs! I was just that uncomfortable with anything changing.
But not anymore, thankfully. I see changes as growth. And growth is soooooooo good. Always. (Though it can also make me nervous.)
Recommending books I love has been a lot of fun, but there's more I want to give. There's much work I'm doing, and much more to be done.
And because of this, I just don't feel I'm devoting the energy this blog and its readers deserve.
Hence, the break.
*I'll still visit my friends' blogs whenever I can. And honestly, for those whom I've become close with, I always can. Time is mostly arranged, not blindly spent.
So, see you guys on your blogs ~ while I enjoy my new, new, new sofa set x years later.

Really enjoyed the honest voice of this narrator ~ a teenager let down by his mother and the foster care system, and almost-picked up through his involvement with a gang.
