My lovelies, I'll be away for a few weeks.

Be focusing on the production stage of the next picture book as well as writing a middle-grade novel, which is growing cracks in my heart as I delve.

Also, I'm looking forward to visiting a country I haven't been to.

Ah, sitting by the river sipping coffee, reading and writing ~ I just hope Winter won't freeze the bones in my fingers. (I'll only be bringing along a notebook and my trusty pencil. And of course, my current to-read: 'Great Expectations,' which I've been neglecting. Pip, Estella, Miss Havisham, wait up, please!)

No laptops.

And since I haven't got any smart-gadgets, I won't be on the Internet that often either. I'll catch up on reading your wonderful blogs when I return. Promise.

So ... around two to three weeks. Miss me a little?

Have you taken a work-break lately? A vacation where you focus on work you love and nothing else?

Sending Brightness & Love your way in the meantime,
Claudine

I'll miss you and your beautifully inspiring posts. Have a wonderful holiday, take pictures and enjoy reconnecting with your past. I haven't taken a break to work on my work but it's something I have thought about for a while lately. Life gets hectic and has been which has impacted my writing and the need for a break, a long stretch of time on the beach is almost a must. Do enjoy yourself, Claudine. All the best.

I'll miss you, Claudine, but it sounds like a wonderful way to spend a hiatus from the computer. Personally, I love writing by hand in a notebook. I still do that all the time.

And I can't wait for your new picture book! All best wishes as you take it through the production stage.

Technological advances change the way people interact with textbooks. Online and digital materials are making it increasingly easy for students to access materials other than the traditional print textbook. Thanks.

Join online book clubs, writer's groups, and community forums. Actively participate in groups that might be interested in your book genre. Be careful not to promote your new book in an offensive manner, and limit your references to it. Otherwise, you may be subject to penalties such as a deleted account by forum mediators. Thanks a lot.

Require students to walk out in single file. Teach students that they may need to crawl if there is smoke in the hall. Students should crawl or crouch down in single file to avoid confusion. Thanks.
